Turn a podcast into shorts without a second job

How many vertical clips a weekly show actually needs, and why burned-in captions matter more than a virality score.

A weekly show does not need twenty clips. Three to five vertical posts will cover the week if each one can stand alone with the sound off. More than that and you are running a second channel.

What a postable clip is

Audio-only episodes still work. Draw a simple waveform or a title card and burn the words on top. The viewer is there for the sentence, not for a fake studio set.

Find the line while you still remember it

Say 'clip this' out loud after the line you want strangers to hear. Searching the transcript for that phrase is faster than scrubbing the waveform on Sunday. PodCrate then cuts the window, writes the caption, and renders the vertical file.

Clip-only tools are good at clips and silent about show notes. If the thing you post each week is the notes, the chapters, and the clips together, cut them in one pass.
